The Braid

THE BRAID

Performance in collaboration with Elize Vossgatter

Elize and I braid grass that we have collected aside. Kneeling, facing each other, we start with a central knot - slowly moving apart as the braid grows. No matter how far we are apart, we are constantly connected through our labour and the braid of grass, which is a sign of nature.

The audience contributes materials which they wish to be plaited into the braid.
